You may, of course, experiment with Alexa's speech settings simply for fun. However, if you have a family member or friend who speaks a different language and wants to be able to utilize the Alexa system, the voice options will come in useful. Here's how to alter Alexa's speech settings, whether for practical reasons or for pure entertainment value:
- Launch the Alexa mobile application.
- Select “More” from the drop-down menu (the three lines icon).
- Choose “Settings” from the drop-down menu.
- Choose “Device Settings” from the drop-down menu.
- The next page will provide a list of all of your Alexa devices. Choose the device that has to be changed.
- "Language" should be selected.
- After that, you may choose the language and/or accent you want Alexa to talk in for you. Select your choice and press the "OK" button.
It may take a few minutes for the new option to take effect, but Alexa will then talk in the language and accent that you choose. Amazon helps well as being available for all of your Alexa requirements, Amazon Help is also available.
